He wants one, of course.

The bactrian camel has two humps, unlike like the dromedary of the Arabian desert which has one. Feeder geschichten movie focuses on a group of nom whose camel ignores her calf, and they have to feeder geschichten a musician to get the camel to change her mind. This is argumentum ad miseracordiam and is irresistible. The views of the desert are beautiful in their remoteness and desolation.

However, fortune gave them the opportunity of sharing a great experience with the viewers with the ritual that brought the camel to accept the offspring. The story is basically about how the family figures out who to get the mother camel to nurse its young one and, yes, there is a happy ending.

What I found was a film that was perfectly charming but not ever engaging to the point of being important.

For most of this film, however, not much happens yet it does have a certain appeal. The last calf born to their camel herd is especially difficult. This is one awkward looking juvenile. The living conditions are primitive, to put it mildly, yet feeder geschichten family in the film seem content with what they have to live with.

I have to admit that I don't know feeder geschichten about Mongolia, even though I've known about it for most of my life when I was young, I had a puzzle that was a map of the world, so I learned Mongolia. This is an interesting slice of a traditional lifestyle.

Was this review helpful? They didn't know any other feeder geschichten of life and they seemed quite content. The Gobi desert is at higher latitudes and gets powerfully cold, so the beasts are appropriately shaggy and robust. The Story of the Weeping Camel Hide Spoilers. It's fascinating but ultimately the style lacks any tension. So "The Story of the Weeping Camel" is an interesting little feeder geschichten at this culture. It was especially eye-opening that this was a German-Mongolian co-production.

As the film unfolds, we are witnesses to the amazing birth of the last colt of the season. In the end, though, the movie concludes with a shot of a huge satellite dish outside the tent! Well no. I wouldn't expect Germany to make a movie about the relationship between a camel and her calf. The white colt that is born in front of our eyes, has to be guided to the mother for his nourishment, only to be rejected by her. The explicit message of the movie is that we should all feel love because it's somehow good.

Living in this vast desert is almost depressing.

Thank you, Messrs. It really works too.

I believe the first intention of directors Byambasuren Davaa and Luigi Falorni would be to document the lifestyle of a nomadic family of shepherds, showing a different culture for the Westerners. So if you are in the mood for something earthy and indigenous then The Story of the Weeping Camel should fit the bill but it is over-hyped and, while cheering and quite charming, it is not brilliant, a great documentary or a film that will stay with you feeder geschichten that long.

To remind you that this is a film about the camel that belongs to a Mongolian family should feeder geschichten least suggest that it has done something right to hold the viewer. The family unsuccessfully uses their best efforts trying to force the female to accept and feed the newborn.

Relying on camels for transportation, the family work hard to assist a first-time mother complete a particularly difficult and graphically feeder geschichten birth. There is a store miles away and schools and music and dance classes, etc. The grandpa tells the boy he'd just sit around and watch TV all day and that would be bad. I ignored this because everyone who finds a good independent film tends to praise it heavily while also lashing out at the "system" feeder geschichten it is deserved or not so I tried to come to the film with fresh eyes and uncoloured perspective.

But what do I know? The little boy in featured family is awed when he sees a television set. The ten-minute story is accompanied by a simple sentimental melody on strings. They are fortunate indeed, because being away from all the consumerism and material things, they manage to stay focused in living under those conditions in that unfriendly environment. Reviews on this site and others praise the emotional impact of the film and berate fictional films for not replicating this documentary; heck, many users here and quick to boot "Hollywood" whatever that represents for not delivering all that this film does!

Living in the remote Gobi desert, we encounter a small family that live from the sheep they raise and feeder geschichten camels, that are used as a form of transportation. This feels like a fable trying to be a documentary.

SnoopyStyle 16 September A family of nomadic herdsmen lives traditionally in South Mongolia. The film does have charm and a certain airy patience to the tale and the delivery that makes it quite relaxing to watch, but more than that? Byambasuren Feeder geschichten and Luigi Falorni, for such touching, beautiful and wonderful film.

I do not know, and I was really curious to know, how could be the original screenplay of this documentary.

Reading progress

The bactrian neonate must be one of the few animals that can be pathetic without being cute. It's questionable what the story is about for a long stretch in the beginning. However it does rather trade on the "novelty" value of the subject matter and it will appeal mostly to those on the liberal feeder geschichten of the political spectrum that will immediately be held or touched by the beauty of the indigenous peoples. In. I mean, how many of us have seen a camel give birth?

It's not my preference but it's not a major problem. The men are closely shaved and their silk garments look brand new. A charming little film, just not as good as the hype would have you believe bob the moo 1 Feeder geschichten To a nomadic shepherd family in Mongolia, the breeding of livestock is an important part of life.

The family sends the two young sons to find a musician who could coax the mother back to her offspring.

It appears to have been assembled out of playdo by a drunken. This is a great opportunity for getting a first eye view about a civilization and a culture so completely different from ours, that it's worth the price of admission. It is an ordeal for the first time mother having this offspring, feeder geschichten labor that goes on forever, until the men of the village take matters into their hands and help with the birth.

Feeder (band)

What it is is "nice", and that is not a great compliment in my book. Most of the feeder geschichten are centered around the home. When there is no further hope of saving the animal, they send their two sons to bring a musician from the feeder geschichten town to perform a ritual and save the "baby camel". So when one camel gives birth and appears to reject the white colt, it is a major issue that threatens the life of newly born camel and sees the family trying many techniques to keep the baby alive and foster the maternal relationship important for survival.

Feeder (band)

To give it its dues though, I was intrigued by the story and amused by it for about 90 minutes. The final irony is that after the young children go into the nearest town they finally see their first television broadcast and are fascinated by it.

In the spring of the Gobi Desert, in South Mongolia, a nomadic family of shepherds has troubles when one camel has a tough two days delivery, immediately rejecting the offspring. When all fails, as the mother camel keeps rejecting the colt, they resort to a sort of a ritual that involves a violin player coming to the family's help feeder geschichten play music for the animal, and ultimately mother and son are miraculously reunited.

Primary verifications

The hype around this film is quite something to behold. Overall, this may not be that memorable a film, but one scene certainly is one I doubt you'll ever forget.

Somehow we are drawn into this family's life in a way that we never feeder geschichten we could get to know anyone. With no mod cons, they entertain each other by singing songs and telling tales and playing simple games, and all generations of the family gather to eat their meals at a table.

For the family featured in this film, it didn't seem bad. It's a very dramatic, intense five-minute scene, one I won't soon forget. The shepherds' hands are clean and their nails are trimmed. The colt is white and rejected by his mother. I had read how fantastic the scenery was but, outside of the snow-capped mountains in the background, the terrain feeder geschichten flat and totally bleak. The family is close knit, respectful of one another, and seeming to possess an inner peace that seems mockingly unattainable to us in the frenetic, materialistic western world.

There is also the question of how real the story is. There is some evidence of staging. The film is refreshing as it shows how the different feeder geschichten of this small family care for one another. The movie starts with no tension. Not only that, but labor for two days to get the young "colt" out, and then do it standing up?

Of course one's heart is engaged while the viewer watches the newborn take its first faltering steps and the shepherds encourage it to nurse from its mother while at the same time feeding it milk from a hollow horn. We watch as one of feeder geschichten women manages to milk the mother camel in order to feed the colt.

Music Hath Charms JoeytheBrit 4 August It focuses on four generations of a nomadic Mongolian family of sheepherders, dwellers in igloo-shaped tents called yurts that have feeder geschichten coloured interiors and sturdily resilient exteriors.

Those are minor carps. Summary: a likable film but you must be patient with it. My vote is nine. This is a short tale of a bactrian camel owned by Mongolian shepherds who gives birth to an albino named Botok, rejects it, and when it is about to expire, finally accepts it as her own offspring. I was rooting like hell for Botok to finally be accepted by his mother.

It's a really interesting movie. Imagine living in that barren land year after year? However, as we see near the end of the movie, not everyone in feeder geschichten area lives in a sturdy tent and raises sheep and camels.
